More pictures (sorry the title isn't creative...running a little low on sleep here...)

We got out the swimming pool for Memorial Day. Gresham LOVES to be in the pool. He came in for dinner and said, "I had a good swim!"

Isn't he just adorable?

Gresham finally decided that it was okay to hold baby Owen. I think that he even enjoyed the experience! Tonight I was watching from the other room and saw him go over to Owen's bouncy seat and carefully give him a kiss on the head. Maybe he'll like his brother after all!

Gresham used to be the baby, but now that Owen is here, he looks like a giant! Look at those huge hands!

Owen Part 2

Isn't this a fun way to have a baby? Maybe not so much, but we are thankful for a safe delivery and a healthy boy!

Jordan got to cut the cord (well, it had already been cut once, but he trimmed it - otherwise he wouldn't have gone near the gore...). He had a good strong cry and surprised us by weighing 6 lb. 13 oz. - I thought he would be bigger since I was bigger this time.

No! I am NOT holding the baby!

**Although, to his credit, he is doing better now that we are home. He sat on a stool by Owen's pack 'n play and watched him sleep after lunchtime.

Aidan could not be happier! He absolutely loves his brother. Almost 6 is a good age to appreciate a new baby.

Here is Owen ready to come home from the hospital.

Owen David Dees!

He's here! Owen David was born at 5:05 p.m. on May 18, 2009. 6 lb. 13 oz and 20 inches long. We are doing great and will post more when we get home from the hospital!

No! I'm not! I'm NOT 2!

Mom: Sorry, Gresham. Aidan is eating the last ice cream bar, so there is not one left for you. (oops...)
Gresam: No!
Mom: Do you want some Teddy Grahams?
Gresham: No! I wanna have an ICE CREAM!
Mom: Do you want a graham cracker?
Gresham: NO!

Mom: Gresham, are you 2?
Gresham: No! I am NOT 2! ...I want one of dat ice cream!
Mom: There aren't any left. You may have teddy grahams or a graham cracker.
Gresham: NO!

Gresham: Oh, I'm going to be disciplined? Suddenly I will happily eat teddy grahams!

Nursery Pictures

The newborn diapers are out, the pacifiers are bought, the onesies are washed... now we just need the baby!

We have never done a "cute" nursery before, so here it is! Aidan's room was semi-cute, but it was an apartment, and we couldn't paint. We planned on Gresham sharing a room with Aidan, but that didn't happen until a couple months ago, so Gresham ended up sharing his room with the piano and my violin teaching stuff... This time around, we actually painted and hung things on the walls! We got this cute truck shelf from our friends the Snyders, who found it in their new house. For some reason, they didn't want their bathroom decorated in trucks!

We used this train bedding with Gresham, but never fully decorated the room... Isn't it cute?

The pack 'n play will move out to the dining room for naps during the early weeks, and I'd like to get some kind of table to put next to the rocker so I can have a lamp in there and a place for a drink... Also, I'm planning to do wooden cut-out letters with the baby's name above his crib. Stay tuned for the name... we aren't telling anyone except family until after the delivery!

Countdown!

It's May! The countdown has begun! I have made our lists of things to pack for the hospital, and things to pack for the boys at Grandma's house. Will it be this week? Next week? The week after that? Only God knows...

This week would not be preferrable. Jordan has a VERY busy week at work, and I have a school concert on Wednesday night. Anytime after Thursday would be best... for us, that is.

So we shall see...
